Get Involved
Volunteers of any experience level are always needed for ongoing Habitat building projects. Minimum age is 16 years old to assist with construction projects. There is additional need for admistrative and organizational support. Whatever talents you may have we can put to use!

As of 2008 current work days at Schissler Meadows are Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8am to 12pm. From Highway 200, turn north on Main Street in Kootenai and go approximate 1/4 mile. Schissler Meadows is on the right. Feel free to bring your own basic hand tools if you have them (nail apron, hammer, tape measure, pencil, gloves) and simply show up! If you don't have any tools, show up anyway!

Volunteers are needed at the new ReStore. We need driving assistance to pick up donations on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Customer Service Representatives to help our customers buy products Thursdays through Saturdays during store hours. To work with the ReStore you should be friendly and curteous with great customer service skills, and be able to move heavy donation items using hand trucks, dollies, and a pallet jack. Training is provided.

Board meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at the Sandpoint Methodist Church, 711 W Main Street, and are open to the public.
