Strawberry Woven Studio: Artist: Linda Corson (www.strawberrywoven.com.)

NEW HOURS: (After Tour) Fri. - Sat. 1-5pm through Aug. 27th. Other days by appointment

This is my third season with the Artist Studio Tour. I have been weaving and working with fiber over twenty years. I learned to weave, spin & dye fiber while living in Missoula, Montana in 1982. Weaving with wool, silk and linen are some of my favorite fibers to work with. I enjoy making scarves and shawls as well as blankets, dish towels, and articles of clothing. My work with this medium has become a passion for an ancient craft.

I continue to learn new techniques expanding my creative abilities. Last summer I planted flax for linen fiber. I will process then spin this for heirloom linens.

I am continuing my work developing a spotted color variation of the Corriedale Sheep (a wool sheep breed). This work has taken many years of genetic selection to achieve consistent color results. I am hoping to sell spotted breeding stock to the public within a couple of years.
My husband, Ben and I raise an endangered breed of Draft Horse – The American Cream Draft. We are part of a nation wide effort to save this breed, the only draft horse breed to originate in the United States! To find out more about the Creams see our Web Site –www.moyievalleyranch.com
